of 2012 China
Invention Patents
The
State Intellectual Property Office held a press conference in
Beijing
on Feb. 21, 2013, and released the information of granted invention
patents in China in 2012.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual
Property Office Gan shaoning, China's granted invention patents
amounted to 217,105, a year-on-year growth of 26.1%; wherein,
domestic invention patents amounted 143,847, representing an
increase of 28% over last year, accounting for 66.3% of the year
total invention patents. In domestic invention patents, 125,954 are
service invention patents, accounting for 87.6%.
According to statistics, in 2012, the top ten provinces (urban) of China's invention patents are respectively Guangdong (22,153), Beijing
(20,140), Jiangsu (16,242),
Zhejiang
(11,571) Shanghai (11,379),
Shandong
(7,453), Sichuan (4460),
Hubei
(4050), Shaanxi (4018), and Liaoning (3973).
The
top ten cities are Shenzhen (13,139), Hangzhou (5513), Nanjing
(4408), Suzhou (4382), Guangzhou (4026), Xi'an (3475), Wuhan (3233),
Chengdu (3112), Wuxi (2513) and Changsha (2182).
The
top ten domestic enterprises are Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
(2734), ZTE Corporation (2727), Hong Fu Jin Precision Industry
(Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (1099), China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation
(1044), Semiconductor Manufacturing International (Shanghai) Co.,
Ltd. (530), BYD Company Limited (510), Huawei Terminal Co., Ltd.
(347), Hangzhou H3C
Technologies Co., Ltd. (318), China mobile Communications
Corporation (303) and Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. (293).
In
addition, in 2012, the top five countries of invention patents are Japan (29,000), the
United States (17,000),
Germany
(7,000), South Korea
(05,000) and France
(3,000), which accounts for 83.6% of the total foreign Patents in China.
